If you come on the bus, there are two bus companies available:  The Tofino Bus and The Island Link.

Coming from the south on Highway 19, Nanaimo or Victoria, take the Buckley Bay exit.

  • Drive north on highway 19 A by the shore of the Salish sea towards Courtenay, past Union Bay.
  • At the traffic light in Royston turn left towards Cumberland.
  • Pass the railway line, second street on the left is Trent.

Alternatively you can stay on Highway 19 and take the further Comox Valley Parkway (exit 117).

  • After about 5 km at the T intersection, take a right towards Royston and Union Bay.
  • After 4 km at the Royston traffic light, turn right towards Cumberland.
  • Pass the railway line, second street on the left is Trent.

If you are flying, the nearest airport is 20 minutes away – YQQ in Comox.

You can fly direct to Comox (which is 20 minutes from the farm):

  • via Calgary (with WestJet) or
  • via Vancouver (with Air Canada or WestJet from main terminal or with Pacific Coastal airline from south terminal. There is a shuttle bus every 20 minutes from main terminal to south terminal, takes 15 minutes).

If you choose to stop off in Vancouver there is also a float plane with Harbour Air that goes from downtown Vancouver to the Comox marina.

Alternatively, you could fly to Vancouver airport (YVR), then make your way to North Vancouver via public transit or taxi etc., to take the ferry from Horseshoe Bay to Nanaimo (Departure Bay) and then a bus (IslandLink) to Courtenay.

There is a shuttle from the Comox airport (Ambassador Transportation) — must be pre-booked.
