Yucca sp. (Yucca)

The leaf fibres of yucca are used for ropes and mats while the buds, flowers, and seeds are eaten. Yucca is converted commercially to cortisones, androgens, and estrogens. It has anti-inflammatory actions on the joints, lowers cholesterol and triglycerides. It�s also a laxative and has antitumor action against melanoma.
