Viola tricolor (Heartsease)

Heartsease is a purifying herb helpful for skin complaints like eczema. Due to its expectorant and demulcent properties, it helps with chest complaints like whooping coughs and bronchitis. Heartsease is also employed to treat frequent and painful urination associated with conditions such as cystitis and arthritis due to its anti-inflammatory constituents (rutin and salicylates).
