Sanguisorba minor (Salad burnet)

Salad Burnet, also commonly named Pimpernelle or Garden Burnet, have cucumber-tasting leaves and do wonderful in drinks and salads. Salad Burnet quickly stops bleeding when applied to a wound, and in fact, that�s where the name Sanguisorba comes from. Sanguis means �blood� in Latin and sorbeo meaning �to staunch�. Both the root and the leaves induce sweating, thus helping when treating a fever.
