Dianthus plumarius (Pink)

These beautiful ornamental perennials have no known medicinal use. The word dianthus comes from the Greek word dios meaning �god� and anthos meaning �flower� so they are quite literally the flowers of the gods! Other members of the genus are sweet William and carnations.
