Chelidonium majus (Greater Celandine)

Celandine comes from the Latin celidonia or chelidonium meaning �swallow�. It was believed that the flower bloomed when the swallows returned and faded when the birds left. Greater celandine, also called swallowwort, is a shade-loving perennial.
