2024 Open House

Internationally registered 7-acre botanic garden in Royston, BC, is offering a variety of nature-based activities and tours — all are welcome to explore the gardens, trails, and Vancouver Island’s largest labyrinth.

We invite you to join us for a fun-filled day of garden-themed activities for all ages to enjoy — 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 1st.

Activities include:

• a guided medicinal plant walk with clinical herbalist Zhyfhs Millicent (11 am – 12 pm)
• live music from Joanna Finch by the labyrinth (1 pm – 3 pm)
• a guided garden tour with owner Chanchal Cabrera (2:30 – 3:30 pm)
• Kids educational plant activity tables – botany matching game, colouring pages, leaf rubbing, plant smell identification.

We’ll be serving free iced herbal tea, our Green Dream Café will have delectable desserts for sale, and there is a plant sale—buy 3 plants, get 1 free. Our nursery is bursting with unusual medicinal herbs and ornamental plants for you to take home. 

All activities at the open house are free, with donations to Gardens without Borders gratefully accepted.
